I had scribbled "je m'en foutisme" in a notebook because I'd heard Julia Child say it in regards to how you have to care less when you're learning to cook because it's just failure after failure. It reminded me a lot of my philosophy on songwriting, so I decided to take it and try and write a French punk rock song. It also kinda fits in with my current mood these days, alors voilà

this is great! it would be a great catchy pop song no matter what language it was in but i feel like french was the right choice for this. excellent production too. wow. just great all around

Harmonica! Sweet. Nice signal chain for it - break up, and gritty is a nice counterpoint to the sweet vocals, and jaunty rhythm. I was reading along in English - but it sounds so good in French!

Je viens de le lire et j'adore ! Je suis impressionné par ton niveau de français ! Autant pour le expressions (" trois pattes à un canard", "rien à voir avec la choucroute ") que le vocabulaire familier ou casual (le double sens de "batards ", "choupinou" etc.). J'ai seulement lu. En lisant je ne pouvais pas m'empêcher de chanter tes mots sur l'air de cette chanson :

Je reviendrai écouter et éditer mon message. "Garage-rock" + harmonica ? J'ai hâte d'entendre ça ! edit after listening J'adore comment sonne l'harmonica ! Tu as rajouté un effet dessus ? J'adore l'énergie, le rythme bondissant, la chaleur du son et la nonchalance. Superbe ! I wrote lyrics in english I'm planning to record soon, I hope it'll sound half as good as this one !

Is there anything you can't do?! Clever, bouncy, insouciant (mais bien sûr) and, as always, catchy. What blows me away is that my French is pretty damn good -- good enough to be impressed by your tossing off all those colloquialisms. Decent accent, too. Bravo!

Oh the vibe and the French lyrics are perfection but the translation is essential.Even better in English for me since I know so little french. What a great song in any language! Love it!
Je m'en fous is a great earworm.
