My take on the morph challenge… made some tweaks to the lyrics of the track I received; what was an upbeat country tune from @lowhum became a melancholy aching plea. I used a chord generator to assist with the instrumental as I haven’t had much time to compose this FAWM. I like where this went and may flesh it out more in the future.

Lyrics

My only wish for thee Is to raise your shrine My wild little deity Your light is most divine

Hallowed be thy name, Though scattered by the winds Sweet nectar and ambrosia I sing to thee in hymns

Speak to me My wild little deity Speak to me Your true believer

I Never had a future So Lost was I at sea Until your grand dominion Took hold over me

You promised me comfort For sacrificial tears I kiss your book of secrets And I softly disappear

Speak to me My wild little deity Speak to me Your true believer

Oh, I love this! What a wonderful build on Lowhums version, and completely connected through to mine. At least I see the connection... really nicely done!

Lovely layered vocals in this, washy reverbs. Interesting religious imagery too and putting someone up on a pedestal, and the interesting connotations that go along with that.

@nadine

The lyrics have something Shakespearean. I expected a very classic song with a lute or cembalo but the backing sounds quite modern. Very expressive vocals!

Wow Chris! This blew my socks off. Great harmonies and I love the phased guitar. Nice take on the god theme. Very well done!

Back on again now that I've finished my morph - I've listened from the beginning love how it culminated in this. Which by the way I'm still lovin'. apologies for where I've taken it next. Lol. :-)

Awesome vibe on this! The vocals make it very powerful. Reminds me of Blackfield.

I love this song. You really should work on it. It seems far too beautiful to morph. But I'll give it a go. Very interested to hear where it came from, but - in the spirit of morphin' I'll wait till I've done mine to listen. :-)
