This is a partial voice memo demo at the moment. Was hoping to update with full length demo but here we are on the brink of the great hibernation. So, the full audio will exist after FAWM but for now this teaser.
Dan Says: Cory sent me the title "Old Rain" and I wrote a set of lyrics for him. He came up with the guitar part and melody... he moved some sections around (bridge to chorus, etc), combined parts of some, rewrote, reduced and amended.
The lyric posted is sort of an approximation of Cory’s partial rewrite from the partial voice memo followed by the rest my second/third verse original lyrics that in some shape should be in the full version so the final is some sort of rewritten version of this.

Wow, this is beautiful! Yeah, I know you said it is "a partial voice memo demo" but I implore you to keep this somewhere safe because someday, when this wins the grammy for best new artist you're gonna wanna put this on the deep cut CD/DVD (do we still have such things?) The whole concept of Old Rain just tickles me to no end! I wanna immediately write a song with this hook! What a great skirmish prompt this would be! (I'm seriously gonna steal this title!) I love the feeling this has in this rough demo! You can see a diamond even when it is still in the rough! I'm pretty sure you have a diamond here!

This is very lovely. It seems like one of those times when the collaboration makes something bigger that its parts - pretty special when that happens. I love the guitar riff, which really has a rainy feel about it and the chorus is well hooky in the guts.

This is a wonderfully poetic lyric and I love the melody you have created as delivered with your tender vocals and gentle guitar. Really lovely!!!

It's a great start. Lovely lyrics that work well with the heartfelt vocals. Very nice!

This feels like such a perfect final blessing on this FAWM (what is the opposite of an invocation - BENEDICTION) I’m sleepy and sad, but Evaporating and running with old rain are just right. And your description of the collaboration process and the voice memoyness. And yes. And thank you.
