The Veil Of Corruption

Liner Notes
Sapient: In which we attempt to write the missing bonus track from Dimmu Borgir's "Spiritual Black Dimensions". When Bamsekarhu said "I would love to do some vocals or cheap 80s synths for something" I didn't expect that to turn into 18 tracks of vocals, choir and orchestra. But it was EXACTLY what the song needed. It IS a Dimmu Borgir song! I love it ๐

bamsekarhu:
Yesss this was clearly a collab destined to be! I vowed to only use my meagre DSR-500 synth this year, but Sapient's song had such a grand Dimmu vibe that I had to supersize the McBorgirness by using Eastwest's Hollywood and Fantasy libraries! I couldn't quite pull off Vortex, so perhaps Garm made a feat on this lost bonus track?
Lyrics
Hearken all, the gospel is broken Oh, how the firmament cries Apostles come down with their mouths open wide From the festering skies
So it seems the final seal is now open The gilded tongues bear passionate tones And behind all the mock piety The beast stirs awake
With resemblance to unfettered insanity A lordly visage Cyclopean throne of false magnanimity Who will take the seat?
Behind the veil of corruption faith lies bleeding born of unholy union crowned with flies
Behind the veil of corruption all hope is lost ignorance festers cloaked in lies
Witness the ritual Come and partake In this communion A feast of rancid flesh
Behind the veil of corruption a stain on life rife with pestilence the priestess smiles
Behind the veil of corruption a king of fools water on cracked lips all truth reviled

There is so much going on here but it never feels like "too much". I love the dramatic feel of the instrumentation and the vocals, this is one fine collab!
dude, this is sick. the production quality is amazing!! what did you do for the drums?
Love the variety in the vocals. There are so many different sounds and styles going on! And of course sick riffs and some insane production!
Let the headbanging commence! This has the juice.
Can really hear the Dimmu Borgir influence here, which is great. Awesome stuff! Great playing and screaming.
So filthy that posers get stained pants ๐ Perfect dinner music for resident pandas! ๐ผ
Absolutely disgusting hahahahah love it those choirs are so sick I'm upset they are a subscription and I can't own it anyway killer track!
Makes my skin crawl like it did when I saw the movie The Horror of Dracula as an eight year-old and Christopher Lee looked out at me from the screen with blood in his eyes. I went back for more.
Love all the different vocal textures. Massive music backing it up. Great collab!
Holy fuck. What have you sacrificed to what entity from which abyss? Because this is pure cursed epicness. Great work.
Beejeepers it blew me Sox of! This is EPIC! This is seriously good! Where do I get the album and the tee shirt!
Holy fuckface batman!! Is it the best thing my ears have ever heard? Possibly. Do I actually even have any ears left now? Fuck no. My dudes, it was worth losing appendages for. If this ainโt the best produced piece of music on FAWM this entire year then I donโt like cats.
Ok, I don't remember if I've ever had this much expectations when pressing play on a FAWM track... And now, I have to gather what's left of me from the floor. You guys. You absolutely nailed it. So much epic goodness. You both rule SO FRIGGIN' MUCH! The production is obviously top notch, but what is really crushing me is the sheer vocal brutality/talent here. If Mr. Sapient ever happens to find himself on Finnish soil, I reckon we need to take him out for a pint or two, eh, Bamse?
Oh yeah, I have been waiting for this collab! You nailed the Dimmu Borgir thing - it's been a while since I've listened, but I'll have to spin "Spiritual Black Dimensions" tonight.
I love the vocal range on exhibit here, with so many voices working together. The guitars are perfect for this piece and the orchestra, choirs, bells, etc add that touch of "epicness"
Great work!
Oh man this is friggin epic! The lyrics are epic, the vocals are awesome, the wall of sound is epic. Sorry I wish I had more productive things to say but this is so good this will be listened to more than once that's for sure! Great collab!
This really sounds like it comes right off of classic Dimmu. I love it, awesome work!!
Ha, thankfully I remembered to turn down my headphones a bit JUST in time.
This is INCREDIBLE. There's a gravitational pull to the whole thing, this feeling of inevitability. Epic collab work!
this is monstrous. i feel the whole universe collapsing into one black hole of infinity.
Holy wall of sound, Batman! This is EPIC. Those growly vocals are metal perfection. What a great collab!
I really love the variation in instruments and vocal styles in this song. Digging the collab, good work.
