No Arguing
by @bijou
Liner Notes
I never know what to say here so I'll just let this little dude dance...

Lyrics
Sometimes life is hard Can’t do anything about it And it’s hard There’s no arguing
I love my feet in the water ‘Cuz I can swim to my dreams But your feet run me over And you hate when I cry
Why??? No arguing!
Here comes the sun Call 911 Here comes the sun…
We swallow the same dirt Under this harmless sky But here it’s hard You don’t feel it In your hands is my suffering
Why??? No arguing!
Here comes the sun Call 911 Here comes the sun…
I don’t want to be afraid But I, I don’t know what else I can say Every night and single day I uh, have these knots inside my brain And I’m not one to complain But I, I think I’m starting to decay

What lovely music :) Thanks for enticing me over to hear you by commenting on one of my tunes. With a couplet like
Here comes the sun Call 911 I suddenly want this to be about vampires But you follow it with this song's best couplet We swallow the same dirt Under this harmless sky and, yeah, vampires isn't what you're going for. Great stuff
This is amazing. Strangely enticing in the most beautiful way. Simply, amazing.
FAWM is a better place because your music is here. WOW. So creative, so insightful, so beautiful. Just in awe.
i really dig those wobbly vocals! "here comes the sun, call 911" is a cool line
Calming and soothing, right until it isn't and that was such a cool transition. Beautiful and floaty. It is always wonderful to hear you creating. I miss it and then it fills me up to hear what you come up with. :)
Love the trippy sound to this, especially on those high notes. It reminds me of Buffy Sainte-Marie (particularly her more psychdelic stuff like Poppies). Well, not the glitchy bits (which are an awesome addition, by the way!).
Beautiful!! I love every element here; your voice, melody, mixing, arrangement, effects, that scattered beat. I definitely can’t wait to hear more from you 😍
Your stuff always sounds so great. Very cool when the drums come in. And the glitched bits. It's a good song anyway, but all the little touches really make it shine.
Kinda reminding me of the sarah mclachlan/delirium era. Haunting and lovely.
Beautiful. Love how the rhythm and foundation shifts with "Here comes the sun". Very effectively unsettling.
God dammit. Now I'm going to be going around singing "whyyyyyyyyyy no arguing".
Yeah track is nice but your vocal performance is the star here. Lovely, beeeejooooooooo
This is awesome. Didn't expect those vocal cuts but those work really well and honesty that was a great unexpected idea. ( also that little dude has some dance moves) This is definitely on the level of Imogen Heap / POE for sure.
This is great, I love how ethereal it feels, both in the lyrics and in the production. Really great work!
This is just great and what I wanted to hear this morning. You start off and I think that I know where it’s going and then it just morphs into your own style that is wonderful, intricate, and far exceeds my initial expectations, which were high to begin with! Excellent song and I just love the visual with it.
Love the production touches on this, I can picture a lovely version of unaffected vocal and acoustic, sure, but the disorientating chorus effect elevates the feeling, and the echo-y beats and samples are really cool. Your voice threads such a great balance between haunting and ethereal too.
Poetic words and music also poetry. I usually don't like to much fx on vocals but here it is spot on. Every little sound is in place and the dynamic between verse and chorus is subtle yet distinct. Well done. Thanks 🙏
Beautiful and unique stuff. Immaculate production! The surprise modern twist after the halfway point was cool :D
Very original and surprising... in a great way! Excellent production as well. You kept me interested the entire track. Bravo!
This is great, takes me somewhere else, not sure where, but I like it better than here. The Why?? delivery alone is worth listening to over and over again. And what? Is that a bassoon backing you up? Brilliant!
This is cool! I’m curious what instruments (real or virtual) you used.
