Hey, sorry I've been largely unresponsive this year. I've had a lot of changes happening that have kept me pretty busy and left little energy for FAWMing beyond a couple of 4 track offerings. I was laid off late last year and I've been collecting unemployment while settling up a virtual private practice working from home. It seems to be starting to take off finally. I'm planning to do more 4 tracks next year and I signed up for the ongoing 4 track collaborations someone started so I can get to know my machine better again. I'm glad to see you had a productive FAWM this year and I regret that I didn't have time to listen to more of your songs. Be well my friend.

Rob, the feeling is more than mutual. Working with you, John and Kate make me feel like I've made it into the upper crust of FAWM royalty! It was a very fun, and surprising collab. Not what I was expecting at all, and that's what made it fun and a stretch.

It can get a bit expensive with the postage costs so I like the idea of including a few songs on each tape (probably get about 4 on I reckon at double speed which would be enough for an EP?).

It sounds like it’s more expensive sending from the US from what I’ve heard? Costs us about $25 dollars to send a tape your direction.

Oh yeah, I’d forgotten I’d done a voice intro at the beginning of the tape (the beginning of February feels a while ago now😅🙏).

Do you think you’ll take part in the ‘off season’ tape collab that @fairplay has set up? It’s usually fun getting the tape machines out.

I have come up short for Hanging On, I definitely took on a bit too much this year, but I had a load of fun. I will come back and listen as soon as I finish up my last 4 songs!

Congrats on the 14+ win. A bit of disclosure...I was going to ask you if you'd be interested in playing drums on one of the songs I posted, but I was afraid to ask because of the nature of the tune and plus you might of thought it too sophomoric. Next time, though, I'm just gonna ask. 💯

Oh and I hadn’t heard of Coda Chroma before! Just listening now, amazing stuff! And she’s based in a small town just a few hours drive from where I am, hopefully will see a live show one day

Oh man, Rob! You need to get a baritone uke, it's the best. The tubing is the same as guitar, and the deeper sound makes it a more serious instrument. I love mine, it quickly became my favorite instrument. I have a Makala, I think it was $99.

Sadly no Thailand this year, as am bit short on funds to whizz to the asian hammock, so instead I off on a ten day silent retreat in wales!! nearly the same ;-) . And cheers matey i will keep you posted. woohooo

I have used 4 tracks in the past (both a Porta07 and 424s but the Porta03 I have - I just haven't used it enough to feel comfortable to mail cassettes around. It's a relic. One of my tracks I did use it, partially because my DAW computer died on Feb 7. But that is why I bought it a few years ago, inspired by the YT vids. I have used my PZM but not recently.

Hey man. Thanks for your comment just now! The acoustic guitar is just me playing as normal - there isn't a second track (well technically there is but one is the DI and one is the mic picking up the same thing). I think it's just my way of playing!
