Something warm is much needed! I have been suffering with the bitter cold these last months. I needed this song! I'm loving the gentle folk lull, it conveys longing perfectly and the strumming pattern creates a nice steady bass line which I'm really enjoying! I love the gentle turn into the weather being a possible reflection for a period of winter frost in a relationship, such a beautiful metaphor.

“If you wanted, we could both get off our islands”… oooh those words hit. There’s a wistful quality to this song and that island lilt. Really nice.

"Silent nights, rehashing all my reasons" is such a good line. Obviously love the double meaning on the temperature throughout and the opening line is a great setup. Very relatable subject matter, and very vulnerable, which makes it all the more great. Also really like the line "In the car or at the table, in the bedroom by and by"

This has a gorgeous feel to it, and your performance and arrangement really bring out the chill/warmth switch between the verses and choruses. I'm certainly looking forward to getting somewhere warm again before too long. Nice write 👌

Bob Dylan-esque. “Will you go somewhere warm again with me” is such an excellent phrase describing attempting to rehabilitate a relationship. And with a beautiful, simple melody that complements the lyrics. You go about setting the scene with vivid imagery that enhances our knowledge of the relationship. And then you top it off with a great hook. This is not an easy thing to do. You did it. Very well done!!

I love the levels of meaning in this - so much bigger than just going to a tropical destination for a few days. This really brings back nostalgic feelings for seaside vacations that were more about reconnecting with my partner than sun and water. Lovely.

I almost want to give this one a standing ovation. I think there are two things that stand out for me. Firstly, the melody on the ‘would you go somewhere warm again with me’ is so pure and simple, like the best ones, and secondly the way you deliver it really communicates the vulnerability and passion that are both explicit and beneath the surface of the lyrics. Wonderful song! As most of us I can relate to the lyrics. But, to be honest, the first two lines are two thoughts i think many times during the day in this winter! And I wish there would be somebody who takes me on a sunny place far away from cold and nasty Germany!

this is a fantastic song with a totally original way of suggesting a relationship be rekindled. i think the cooling off syndrome is a universal one, and one that is difficult to address. the title of this song is such a brilliant way of broaching the subject. get this on the radion and goodbye to the seven year itch. couples would be falling back into bed with each other by the millions. thank you nancy, for this humanitarian work.
