Lyrics
There is no answer There is no place I can turn to Where I can face As mother nature strikes With a storm on the rise While something in me Freezes and dies
It was the coldest day I'd ever felt My heart cried out As snow would mount With no beginning Or likely end To feeling cold That warmth could mend
I have the solution I will accept All that I feel After I've wept Let nature take its course Is what echoes in me Merging with this front Can set me free
It was the coldest day I'd ever felt My heart cried out As snow would mount With no beginning Or likely end To feeling cold That warmth could mend
It will pass It will pass Like the rain, sleet, and snow That I'm watching from my window In this wintry show
It was the coldest day I'd ever felt My heart cried out As snow would mount With no beginning Or likely end To feeling cold That warmth could mend

@richaaaay Thanks for the kind words
@chris_buono Thanks for the kind words Chris
Chillingly good, @daveyboy103 , and definitely theatrical-sounding production. Dug the vocals and all the bells and whistles that enhanced this write even more at getting a cold point across. Nice job with bringing @sunfire 's work to song life!
Jeepers, that piano arpeggio is gorgeous...
Great musical arrangement (and vocal) over wonderful lyrics. Great collaboration! ❤️
@billwhite51 Definitely achieved a level of chill on this.
you took those words right off the page and sent them flying with musical wings. i believe it is your sense of dynamics that take the lyrics higher and higher with each musical phrase. by the end of the song, we are freezing on the top of some snow-capped mountain in the alps.
Excellent words, written with a smooth flow and rhythm. The music is a great match. The mood/vibe, with the gentle start to the dynamic rise, is perfect.
@sunfire Glad you like it
@fearlessflight2014 Thanks for the kind words Liz, melancholy was what I was aiming for and what the words seemed to really asked for
Excellent!
Oh, beautiful and melancholy. This builds so satisfyingly. Love those tinkling cascades of piano. Great collab.

Just a heads up as you might want to hear the demo of these words.
I especially like the way the chorus seems to pile up becoming higher but also more weighty. The melodies seem subtle and interesting.
