My Night with the Faerie Folk

This needs lots of work, but it was started late, and ended late, so for now it is what it is.
Lyrics
I'd barely closed my eyes to dream My head just touched my pillow, When I felt a tug upon my sleeve By a most magical fellow.
He bade me rise and follow him, We sped into the night, To join the Summer Solstice dance With creatures stark and bright.
We landed 'mid the Seelie Court I counted myself lucky Surrounded by so many fae Ethereal or ruddy.
There were Nymphs and Sprites And elegant elves clad in leaves and light, Pixies in their birthday suits Creating quite a sight.
Fireflies lit the faerie ring, Maestro Cricket played his tune, I never wanted to leave again But, the dance ended too soon.
Now every time I lie down to rest I long for another stay, Another night 'mong the faerie folk, To dance time away with the Fae.

Lovely storytelling - I could almost hear the pipes playing a lively jig in the background as I read this.

This is great. My narrator (in the song linked to below) has obviously been a guest of the same faeries. Your narrator was lucky to have escaped the time dilation mine suffered:

Absolutely charming, and has a lovely flow to it. I'm a fan of the faerie folk, and love the lore.

You know my penchant for this sort of stuff, tho' I'm badly out of shape (hippos might be better dreaming for me). I'd like to try this but I'm running out of time...

A lovely little fantasy. Never sure why faeries always wake people up to go dancing. I have more energy earlier on. 😁

...great that you took the jump and dared to start late - a lot of images in the lyrics and i am not sure if they are scary or nice - perhaps the music/melody will tell me later - the big image reminds me of 'Walpurgis-Nacht' (Germany: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walpurgis_Night ) where witches are dancing all night around a fire (even nowadays) - well done...
