Another 1-hour write, just finished under the wire. Prompt was for good vibes — a positive song. A lot of people are under the mistaken impression that every ukulele song sounds happy, an impression with which I vehemently disagree (or did you guess that when I called it "mistaken?), but I did use the uke’s “happy” tone to my advantage.
The world is on fire but I like the guy I’m married to. So I wrote this for him.
I wrote it pretty quickly, recorded it, then decided I'd cribbed the verse melody from myself in another song I've already written, so I did a quick revision.
Instrument: mahogany/composite soprano ukulele tuned high GCEA

This is so fun, so catchy, and so sweetly cheeky - I love it. I was playing it aloud, and my wife poked her head out from wherever she'd been hiding and just said, "What is that? I like it," then disappeared again.
Wonderful vocalization on the ending "oooo's," in particular.

A perfect love song for Valentine's Day. There should be little candies printed with "You're my good vibes". Superb vocals and uke! Or better yet "Be my Pool Boy".

I’ve heard many of your efforts over the past few years and I can attest that you’ve done some dark, yet wonderful songs accompanied on your uke. I enjoyed this ‘good vibes’ piece. It is clever, light, and very entertaining. Great job!

No pool here either, although the lake is across the road, so that helps. Frozen over at the moment, though.
This song is totally fun. I have to admit that I could never steal it to do at an open mic because I'd run out of breath in the fun, densely-packed middle section.

Somehow coming across the title, I thought "Oh, wow! Is she going to really reveal herself in this one? A steamy, pool boy reverie..."?
Nope, but still a nice song. I always love your songs. I'll be back--but I really WOULD enjoy that "pool boy reverie" that you know you're just aching to write... ❤️

The uke doesn't have to be happy but this certainly is. The parenthesised bit made me chuckle too :).
