Lyrics
VERS with drizzle-misted paper in the dark a wet wash with a soft brush - make a mark and as the sun breathes light into the day i see the colour seep into the grey
CHORUS: the darkest hours past, a fresh new year the twilight of the seasons - Spring draws near and as the sun bleeds amber to the sky there's more and more white light as days go by
VERS bleached clouds reveal their softly feathered plumes my painting springs to life with vibrant blooms with crocus flecks adorning sullen lawns that welcome in the morning as it dawns
CHORUS the darkest hours past, a fresh new year the twilight of the seasons - Spring draws near and as the sun bleeds amber to the sky there's more and more white light as days go by
VERS the snowdrops as they peek above the snow in bleak times show the delicate can grow the wisps of wind bend branches on the page as day and season slowly start to change

Just amazing. Today of all days, I’m not looking forward to the dawn, since FAWM will shut down, byt this song makes me feel like it’s all going to be okay. All just part of the turning seasons. These words are so good to start with and then you all lean in and build a cathedral (or a sunrise) of them.
Fantastic! Love all the voices. I thought I recognized some of them, but then I looked at the tags. Well done!
This is amazing, just gorgeous! The harmonies seem to musically represent the hopefulness and optimism of the lyrics.
Beautiful poetic lyric. Lovely harmonies. I like how they are tight in some sections as one and then sometimes a voice will jump out a little bit on top for a minute and then back to the group. 👏🎶
Wonderfully poetic lyrics and what a wonderful a capella setting! This was gorgeous!
Spectacular. So many fresh lines: "drizzle-misted"; "a wet wash with a soft brush"; "as the sun bleeds amber to the sky"; "crocus flecks"; "sullen lawns"; "the wisps of winds bend branches on the page." What a feast. Love the start with minimal harmony, echoing the grey paper, then the Wizard of Oz shift after "i see the colour seep into the grey." The return to minimal harmony at the end. And then there's everything in between: the gorgeous voices in gorgeous harmonies. Ever-shifting. Transcendent. Magic.
Oh, so pretty! What a beautiful message, and what a beautiful performance, all the delicate voices capturing so perfectly the meaning of the words. A superb collaboration, everyone! ❤️
How wonderful your voices come together! And the text by @wobbiewobbit is gorgeous!
These harmonies are gorgeous. I like how the verse harmonies stay very tight then really open up during the choruses. Also like all the little moments of tension built and released throughout.
Why do we bother with instruments (most of the time) when we (well you actually) can produce such excellent stuff with (y) our voices - such a great achievement with many close harmonies. sounds fantastic. I loved the part with the combination of different voices and slowing down towards the end. beautiful.
What a gorgeous piece. Your vocals blend so perfectly, and the arrangement is full of rich clusters. The natural round that develops here and there is absolute magic. Great lyrics @wobbiewobbit - beautiful imagery throughout. Well done to all!
So absolutely beautiful. I love the sensory images -so poetic and uplifting. Absolutely gorgeous vocal layers! Kudos to all! Stunning!
Wow! So ethereal and beautiful. Great job, team!
such an honour to hear such a beautiful setting for my lyrics. Some beautiful harmonies and i love how some lines wind in and out of each other in the chorus. the harmony on "bloom" is particularly delicious. Top job everyone! Thank you!
This is amazingly beautiful. Beautiful parts and you've got some killer crunchy chords in there. Great lyrics Wobbie! You all have really given that pastoral vibe to it. Great job.
Lovely harmonies.
Chills! This is so good. Love the echo lines, and the big harmonies on the third lines especially. It's a beautiful, uplifting lyric and you all do it justice.
Lovely lyrics and harmonies... a quick last minute foray into listening... glad I did!
