Lyrics

Do you want to feel All that is real? Turn on the radio

Which up is down?
An invisible sound Running through my veins

Ooooooo Running through my veins Ooooooo Running through my veins

Girl on the train Destination outer space Please don’t complain She cannot read your face

Hello Hello Hello from outer space

Warm frequency Picked fresh from a tree Forbidden from your love

Curl up your hands You don’t understand The static that is me

Ooooooo The static that is me Ooooooo The static that is me

Girl on the train Destination outer space Please don’t complain She cannot read your face

Hello Hello Hello from outer space

This is such a haunting and moving song with a gorgeous vocal. Lovely melody and performance. I love it!

Music is the universal language, and you are fluent in it! And if life is vibration, my static greets your static, and your music moves through me and I think I understand. Your voice is ethereal, so appropriate for this song. Gorgeous piece.

Wow! You’re right. This is spectacular. One thing that especially struck me about the way that you sing it is these slightly different styles you use on different words. My first thought was how they convey so much emotion, but then I got to imagining this Alien trying out different human voices - and how one way to interpret the different phrases is that they convey different aged speakers - some very young and some very old. I think we should beam this song into space for the next few hundred years. think your Alien narrator might consider abducting the narrator of my song It’s Unlikely.

Well I guess it's no surprise that your lyrics resonate with me. 😀 Really beautiful. Soothing. Dolores' influence is clearly there, and I'm getting Hope Sandoval vibes from the gentleness and warmth in your vocals. That being said, your voice is yours without contest. Gorgeous guitar work as well. I think I can read faces, but maybe that's an illusion. However, I can't memorize them, unless I see them repeatedly for some time (days, weeks, months?? No idea). Until very recently, I didn't know that: I thought I was just bad at recalling people. Kind of crazy. 😄

@ambroise

A nice piece of weightlessness. Aerial Oooos, nimble voice, the reverb, even... Everything is smooth and feels like letting go. Sweet.

@tonyr

Everything about this is brilliant. Your voice is exquisite and the performance on this one is wonderful.

[avatar]

Dreamlike is a good description for this song. Your vocal arrangement on this is, if you'll pardon the pun, stellar.

[avatar]

The guitar part and the oooooo's are devastatingly lonely ... it's just kinda like, you know, playing a scene set in ordinary daily life but there's two inches of plate glass between you and the other actors

Like @jennakole I picked up on the bends era radiohead sound (and theme) as well

@ragbag

This is dreamy and beautiful, I agree with the previous Cranberries comparisons. Your vocal is stupendous and haunting, the oos especially. I love songs that convey profound thought with simple lyric which this one does majestically. The gif is very fitting too. :-)

@cts

Such a wonderful dream-state this is. I appreciate how your music conveys actual contemplation, wondering and marveling at just being. Your vocal is immersive and while Delores O'Riordan didn't invent this style of vocal expression, she certainly made it recognizable (to my perspective) and it's absolutely gorgeous and fitting here. Beautiful work.

The way the melody climbs from verse into the chorus where it soars. Am getting Cranberries vibes with that little yodel here and there. I like how the dynamics change with the voices and melody alone. So subtle yet deep enough to dive into with the lyrical imagery.

[avatar]

Very cool, ethereal Ooooohs in the intro. Last line of each verse is dreamily sung. Actually get a Coldplay vibe from your vocal delivery and guitar strumming. Not too shabby :-) Though I also love your influences, used to be obsessed with Kaki King. Oh, just got to the guitar solo. Niiiice. "You don’t understand/The static that is me." "Hello from Outer space." Both have deep meaning after reading your profile notes. What makes us unique is what makes us beautiful, especially when we can appreciate the differences in each other. Keep going!

[avatar]

so lovely. You have a gorgeous voice and the lyrics are very poignant

[avatar]

This is so beautiful. I just want to listen to it on repeat.

[avatar]

Just a gorgeous song. There is so much longing in the lyric and you deliver it with such emotion. Beautiful in every way.

@deena

Stunning, moody and haunting!

[avatar]

Beautiful performance. I love how sparse the instrumentation is and how this is mirrored in the succinct lyric. The way the reverb fills out the track is great.

[avatar]

Very profound very thoughtful. This is a huge success. Hello from earth to outer space!

@miltz

Wonderful.

[avatar]

This is so nice—Mazzy star feels with some wide open bends era Radiohead melodies. Chef’s kiss!

[avatar]

Gorgeous... I don't even know what to say. I felt this in my bones. Hello, fellow alien 👋👽

@kovbleu

Sincerely beautiful. Reaches deeply into my soul and resonates completely. Thank you for your art. <3

[avatar]

Beautiful - full stop. I love 'the static that is me', and those lovely breaks between registers on the last line of each stanza.

[avatar]

Wow I love this - totally spellbinding. Always dig your stuff!

[avatar]

Gorgeous, there's such a vulnerability in everything here. Absolutely dripping in emotion, and there's bags of space in the sonic field that gives such a huge arena for the song to sit within. Beautiful.

[avatar]

Really digging the dreaminess of this, you've really captured the otherworldly sense well here!

[avatar]

Such gorgeous singing n dreamy melodies here, so beautiful

[avatar]

Beautiful vocals with these illusive lyric. Nice reverb from outet space. Great sound on the acoustic guitar, I love it. If you make it happen that is all you need. You made it happen.

@aeye

The oooo's just grab your attention right off the bat. It just sets the tone for this incredibly well. The gif actual compliments the song really well. But holy cow that chorus just soars. The lyric "the static that is me" is pretty dang powerful. This is just so good.

[avatar]

Great voice. you grab my attention, especialloy the heartfelt oooooing with it's harmonies.

[avatar]

Well, this is so very melancholy and serious. I just love how this is your guitar and voices but it is so moving. The reverb is almost another instrument! Wow, this is lovely! Well done!
